Printroom Group has worked with leading paper manufacturers to offer a range of ultra-durable tear-proof paper options for manual printing.
From workshops to oil rigs, or simply in the office, tear-proof training manuals offer added durability for high use applications. We can also offer other services that help with durability including laminated tabbed dividers, laminated ring binders, and wipe-clean covers.
Tear-proof paper manuals are available in paper weights of 135gsm, 230gsm, and a heavyweight 300gsm. Manuals are tear-proof, water-resistant, greaseproof, chemical resistant and highly durable. For longer runs or manuals with a higher amount of pages please e-mail us on email@example.com or talk to us using our online chat function and one of our supervisors will be able to help you.
Our tear-proof paper is used throughout the printing of this product. This means that it can be costly if there are larger print runs. If you are looking for a more cost-effective option, then take a look at our other manual options.
High resolution (300dpi) files are the best for us to work with. Please see the settings below to get the best quality printing.
Resolution: Choose High Resolution
Compression Settings - For colour and greyscale this should be downsampled to 300dpi with "auto compression" set on high
Font Embedding - Should be set to "embed all fonts"
Colour needs to be set as CMYK
Convert all text to outlines and embed all fonts. Save as a PDF file with 3mm bleed and crop marks.
The resolution should be set to 300dpi. Save the file as either JPEG or TIFF.
Other files not listed above must be saved either as an EPS or JPEG.
All fonts and pictures used in your artwork need to be supplied to us in a separate folder using the "package" function under the "file" menu. Zip your files and folders before uploading or sending to us via e-mail. Please also include a PDF. We can then use the PDF to make sure that nothing is missing or moved.
Please supply 3mm bleed around your artwork.
Please ensure that the colour is set to CMYK, not RGB.
Please provide crop marks around all your supplied artwork.
Microsoft Office Files
We cannot print straight from the following programmes. However, we can save a PDF file and re-send back to you for proofing.
You can save your Microsoft Office files as a PDF yourself if you would prefer. That way you can see exactly what the printed file will look like.
Please note: It is important when supplying a PDF from a Microsoft Office application, that extra care is taken to ensure any spot colours are created correctly in your original document/file.
Please supply a screenshot of your Microsoft Office file before conversion. You can do this by following the instruction below for both Mac and PC.
Mac: Press 'Command' + 'Shift' + 3 for a full screenshot, or 'Command' + 'Shift' + 4 to select an area to screenshot. This will save a PNG file to your desktop.
PC: There is a key on your keyboard that says 'Print Screen'. You can then paste this into a document or email to send over.
If you are unsure about any of the information above regarding artwork and submitting files for printing, then have a look at our Artwork Guidelines page. If you are still stuck and would prefer to talk to someone then please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or speak to one of our team using the online chat.
